Membership Billing and Payment Information

Dues are $850 per year, plus state tax of 10%. Members are billed for their membership dues and boat storage in January. In November, members are billed for guest fees and entertainment fees.

Assessments: Operating assessments are billed in March, and capital assessments are billed in November.

Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice. Late fees will be added to unpaid invoices: for the January invoices, late fees are added June 1. For the November invoices, late fees are added February 1. The late fees are 10% per month.

Payments should be sent to CHLA, P.O. Box 293, West Cornwall, CT 06796. Venmo @CreamHill, or Paypal Creamhill@gmail.com.

A member may request to pay their January bill in installments. However, to be eligible for installment payments, the member must make the request to the Secretary and send a payment of one-third of their total bill, postmarked on or before the date of the Preliminary meeting (the fourth Saturday in June). Installment payments must be completed by November 1, or the membership will be terminated.

If a member fails to pay their bill and does not contact the Secretary and make payment arrangements by the date of the Preliminary Meeting, the membership will be terminated.

Initiation Fee: The initiation fee is four times the annual dues, or $3400.00 (plus state taxes). This fee can be paid in 4 installments. New members are usually invited to join in the months of May, June, and July, as spaces become available. If a new member is asked to join the membership after August first, the new member will still have to pay the dues for the current year, but will not be charged the initiation fee until the next year.
